Job duties:

Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
Assist with general farm maintenance and maintenance of equipment and tools.
Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.
Spread manure onto client’s farms’ land.
Assist in the maintenance of pumping equipment.
Help set up pumping equipment such as laying out hose and hose string through culverts to pump manure from farm to field.
Maintain inventory and order materials as required
May supervise general farm labourers.





Requirements:

-Education: No formal education is required

-Experience: Previous experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided.

-Must take direction and abide by safety rules

-Class 5 Driver’s License is required.

-Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment; Work under pressure; Tight deadlines; Repetitive Tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Attention to detail; Combination of sitting, standing, walking; Bending, crouching, kneeling; Overtime required

Wage: $22.50 per hour. 45 - 60 hours per week.

Important information: Work schedule is from Monday to Friday. During summer and winter, working hours will be from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. During Spring and Fall, working hours will be from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Overtime will be required based on the business needs. Weekend work may be required, 2 paid Lunch breaks of 30 minutes each, and 2 paid Coffee breaks of 15 minutes each.
